My fitness journey began almost 30 years ago after the birth of my first child (of 4). Overwhelmed and in a body I did not recognize, I went for a walk. I felt better, stronger and those walks became a habit. Choosing new challenges led to competing in numerous athletic events, including 3 Ironman triathlons. A serious injury, a month in the hospital and the belief that I could feel strong again, fueled an amazing recovery. I believe my personal journey gives me a unique perspective to understand the challenges you face in your journey to health and fitness. To reach your goals, I want to get to know you as a person. From there, I begin to create a training program as unique as you are!
With certifications from AFAA, PTA Global and AAAI/ISMA Level II Master Trainer as well as NASM Fitness Nutrition Specialist, NASM Corrective Exercise Specialist and Level 1 Precision Nutrition Coach, I am educationally qualified to meet your needs. Over 30 years in the fitness industry, as well as my personal experience, provides perspective, making me capable of analyzing your body and creating a fitness plan that will fit into your lifestyle and help you reach your goals. Nutrition counseling, body composition analysis and assessments are all available as part of your plan if you so choose.I will work with you to keep you motivated, tracking your progress, and moving toward your goals!
Every individual is driven and motivated in different ways. My goal is to understand you and your goals so they can become OUR goals! I want to be part of your team and your biggest cheerleader! Not every exercise is good for every body, so I work with you to find exercises that are not only effective but (gulp!) enjoyable. I believe the best exercise is the exercise you will actually do. I understand that adapting new fitness habits can be challenging. I'll help you move better, feel better and live better! My goal is to change your view of fitness and see yourself as a strong capable person able to meet whatever demands life throws your way!
